CellTrace CFSE (Ex-Max 492 nm/Em-Max 715 nm)
CellTrace® CFSE Cell Proliferation Kit is used for in vitro and in vivo labeling of cells to trace multiple generations using dye dilution by flow cytometry. This reagent passively crosses the cell membrane and is hydrolyzed causing it to become fluorescent and retained intracellularly. It then covalently crosslinks with primary amine-containing proteins inside the cell. With each daughter generation, as the cell divides, the intensity of the dye will become half of it's parent, indicating a symmetrical division of the cell and cytoplasm.
